Dormiente uses a very special type of wild silk for the filling of our NATURAL SILK natural duvet. Unlike conventional silk, the GOTS-certified "Eri silk" used by Dormiente does not have any animals bred to be torturously killed afterwards. This is why it is also called "Peace Silk" or "Non-violent Silk". The caterpillar of the Eri silk produces a very durable silk that warms significantly better than other silks.
